Many people do not realize that they need new tires until they blow out. Worn out tires are a major issue because they will not provide you with much grip on the road. Your vehicle will also be more likely to hydroplane. Additionally, the distance that it takes to stop will increase. That is why regular tires are important. Some of the things that you should look for when inspecting your tires for damage include sidewall bulge, cut in the sidewall and a metal cord showing.

You should also look at the tread that is on the tires. If the tread is worn out, then the tires are no longer any good. The age and mileage is something else that you need to consider. Most tires will last six to 10 years. This is equivalent to about 50,000 to 60,000 miles.
